Heirs Insurance Group has launched what it described as Nigeria’s first multi-language generative artificial intelligence assistant for the insurance industry, in a move expected to accelerate digital adoption and deepen financial inclusion across the sector.
The AI-powered platform, known as Prince AI, was unveiled yesterday as part of activities marking the Group’s fifth anniversary, reinforcing its push to simplify insurance access through technology-driven solutions.
According to the company, the new platform enables customers to purchase and renew policies, initiate and track claims, and obtain instant responses to insurance-related enquiries across multiple digital channels, including WhatsApp, the SimpleLife Mobile App, and the company’s website.
The insurer said the assistant was designed to break language barriers in insurance accessibility by supporting several local and international languages, including English, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.
Chief Digital Officer of Heirs Insurance Group, Peace Okhianmhense-Philips, said the launch marked a major milestone in the company’s digital transformation strategy and reflected its commitment to improving customer engagement through innovation.
According to her, the deployment of generative AI would not only improve service efficiency but also make insurance more accessible and relatable to customers.
“Prince AI represents the next phase of our digital evolution. By embedding generative AI into our customer experience, we are improving speed, efficiency and accessibility while making insurance more human-centred,” she said.
The company explained that the assistant was built with adaptive intelligence capabilities, allowing it to continuously improve through customer interactions while seamlessly escalating complex issues to human representatives when necessary.
Industry analysts say the development signals increasing adoption of artificial intelligence within Nigeria’s financial services sector as operators intensify efforts to improve customer experience, claims processing, and insurance penetration through digital innovation.
Heirs Insurance Group, the insurance subsidiary of Heirs Holdings, operates through Heirs General Insurance, Heirs Life Assurance, and Heirs Insurance Brokers across Nigeria.
