The former Deputy Commissioner For Insurance, Finance and Administration , National Insurance Commission NAICOM, George Onekhena, fac, is dead.

He died in the late hours of Tuesday in the United States of America.

The Commission announced his death in a statement signed by its assistant Director/Head, Corporate Affairs, Rasaaq Salami, ANIPR

“The Board, Management and Staff of the Commission commiserate with the family and pray that God grants them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,”

Burial arrangement will be as announced by the family, the statement added.

Onekhena was appointed in November 2009 and reappointed as the Deputy Commissioner for Insurance, Finance and Administration of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) by the former President Goodluck Jonanthan.
