2017 Lagos International Trade Fair: Preparations Now on Top Gear As Fair Kicks Off Tomorrow

Preparation is  now on top gear for this year’s edition of the annual Lagos International Trade Fair organised by the Lagos Chamber of commerce and Industry.
This year’s fair kicks off tomorrow,November 3, 2017 at the Tafawa Belewa Square Onikan Lagos.
A visit  to the venue  by Optimumtimes, shows that about 500,000  local and foreign exhibitors expected to  feature at this year’s fair were at various stages of preparations. While some were still erecting their stands as at the time f the visit yesterday,others have conclude theirs waiting for the official take off of the fair to receive their visitors.
Among firms that have completed their stands with  their business names conspicuously displayed are  Nosvisa Nigeria Ltd, makers of all kinds of antiseptic products, Viju drink,Ayoola foods, makers of yam poundo, Dogar sugar, Veetgold, fidelity bank,LG Electronics,Haier Thermocool,Sumec power generators, Gongoni  company, Michelin tyres among others.
Speaking on his company’s  mission to the fair,  General Manager Nosvisa Nigeria Ltd   Ojomo Olorunwa Felix , said  his company is at the fair  for  the first  time to create awareness about its  antiseptic products.

He said basically,his company has come to showcase four new products at the fair -napoda bleach both in bottle and in sachets  xtol gold, xtol  plus,  Izal and stain remover.

He urged the public to avail themselves of the opportunity of  the company’s resolve  to put the products in the lime light to identify with the product

He also  urged the public to embrace the company’s products using the opportunity of the fair  in order  enjoy minimum  pricing attached on the prices of the products.

“We are trying to put our products on lime light.what we do is this, this is a Ngerian product, if you look at other antiseptics, some of them are expensive but what we have done is  this,because of economic situation in  the country, we try to bring our prices down to the minimum level where the poor people can still afford it. So we consider economic value”.

The  Lagos International Trade Fair is organised by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The Fair which is staged with the support and co-operation of the Federal and the State Governments covers all aspects of business and economic activities in Nigeria. It offers a unique exposition for manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and users of a wide range of goods and services as well as opportunities for investment and trade promotion.The theme of the Fair is:

LCCI, said  the theme of this year’s fair  which will last between Friday, November 3 to Sunday November 12  is Promoting industrialisation for economic recovery and sustainable growth..

LCCI, also said the objectives of the fair are    revitalisation and diversification of the Nigerian economy; Nigeria’s non-oil exports;  accelerated development of commerce and industry;   made-in-Nigeria products; agriculture and agro-based industry;

it also said it will ad the evolution of Nigeria’s trade with the outside world;   direct attention to the role of the private sector in the Nigerian economy; and Prospects for foreign and local investments in strategic areas.

LCCI, said It is anticipating that the Fair will attract about 500,000 visitors from within and outside the country including businessmen, investors, customers, top government officials and representatives of Nigeria’s important trading houses and those seeking joint-venture partnerships.
