Three Terrorists Bomb Selves Over Failed Attack Attempts, Injures Four Others In UniMaid

Three unidentified male suicide bombers have killed selves as they detonated their bombs, having been prevented from launching a planned attack at University of Maiduguri.

They were prevented from entering and bombing their targeted locations in the University of Maiduguri at early hours of Friday, by the vigilant University’s Security and Vigilantes who intercepted them. 

According to the NEMA Head of Media and Public Relations, Sani Datti, they immediately detonated their explosives strapped in them and that led to injuring of the two University’s security men and two vigilantes.

He explained this happened when the Director Geberal of NEMA, Mustapaha Maihaja, was in Maiduguri to meet directly with the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) leaders and stakeholders to discuss ways of responding to humanitarian needs of the affected persons.

Meanwhile, the remains of the three suicide bombers had been evacuated to Specialists Hospital Maiduguri by NEMA Emergency Response Team officials.
