Naira Rain For Pensioners As PTAD Pays N3.9 billion Arrears 

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has put smiles on the faces of 91,146 eligible Pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) as it effects payment of N3.9 billion arrears.

The PTAD’s Executive Secretary, Tolulope .A. Odunaiya has also reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to settling outstanding arrears and improving Pensioners’ welfare under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

In a statement by the Head, Corporate Communications, Olugbenga Ajayi, PTAD explained that the payment is part of the N32,000 increment approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The breakdown of Payment indicates as follows:

– N1.9 billion to 59,865 pensioners under the Parastatals Pension Department

– N830 million to 12,976 Pensioners under Civil Service Pension Department

– N620 million to 9,689 Pensioners under the Police Pension Department

– N551 million to 8,616 Pensioners under Customs, Immigration, and Prisons Pension Department
