NAICOM Chief Omosehin Takes Over Helm Of Affairs, Assures Setting New Trend For Nation’s Insurance Sector

The newly appointed Commissioner for Insurance/CEO, Mr Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, has assumed office  at the corporate headquarters of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) with optimism to set a new tone for the nation’s insurance sector.

Expressing the target of achieving a more vibrant insurance sector, the CFI noted that the Federal Government intends to achieve a $1Trillion economy by 2026.

Omosehin said that in cognizance of this target, the insurance sector is expected to play a critical role and contribute to its achievement.

The CFI was earlier welcomed on arrival on Friday by the senior members of the staff of the Commission including the erstwhile Commissioner for Insurance, Mr. Olorundare Sunday Thomas who formally handed over to his successor.

Mr. Omosehin also had an interactive session with the entire Management and Staff of the Commission, during which he assured that the Executive Management would set a new tone for the Nigerian Insurance Sector.

His predecessor Mr. Olorundare Sunday Thomas who was in attendance to officially handover to the new CFI thanked the staff of the Commission for their support while in office and urged them not to relent in extending the same supports to his successor to enable the sector to contribute meaningfully to the socioeconomic growth of the country.
