The Federal government has officially launched Nigeria’s Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategy.

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, representing President Bola Tinubu, highlighted Nigeria’s commitment to a comprehensive transition from fossil fuels to low-emission fuel across all sectors of the economy.

Keyamo delivered a pivotal presentation at the African Pavilion during the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 28 UAE) in Dubai.

The document serves as a testament to the nation’s unwavering dedication to achieving sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.

The event marked a significant milestone in Nigeria’s pursuit of a low-carbon future.

The Minister expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to global climate efforts and thanked all involved for their support in this crucial initiative, according to a statement by Gbenga Saka
