Following the closure of Osubi Airport by the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) Arik Air has announced the diversion of its flight arriving into Warri to Benin.
Nigeria Airspace Management Agency confirmed the closure of the Airport via a circular issued August 29, 2018
According to NAMA, the withdrawal of Air Traffic Services (ATC) from Osubi Airport is to take effect from 0000 hours on September 3, 2018 until further notice.
In a statement signed by Public relations & Communications Manager ARIK AIR LTD, Mr. Adebanji Ola explains that Arik Air diverted all its flights into Osubi Airport Warri from Lagos and Abuja to land at the Benin Airport from Monday, September 3, 2018, until the Warri Airport is reopened in order to minimise the disruption of travel plans of its valued customers.
Customers who have booked to travel to Warri with Arik Air have been implored to bear with the airline in this period as a result of the disruption of services to Osubi Airport, Warri.
Arik Air regrets the inconveniences this diversion will cause its highly esteemed customers.
