AIICO Insurance Plc has reinforced its commitment to education, professional development, and human capital empowerment with the upgrade of the AIICO Hall at the College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM), as part of efforts to strengthen learning infrastructure within Nigeria’s insurance and financial services sector.
The newly renovated facility, which has long borne the company’s name, has been equipped with modern multimedia infrastructure, advanced audio-visual systems, and contemporary learning facilities aimed at improving the teaching and learning experience for students and industry professionals.
The company said the initiative reflects its long-standing belief that sustainable growth begins with deliberate investment in people, knowledge, and capacity development.
Over the years, AIICO has continued to support programmes and partnerships focused on workforce development, professional competence, and social impact initiatives designed to empower individuals and strengthen institutions.
According to the insurer, the upgrade of the learning hall is intended to create a more immersive and technology-driven environment capable of supporting interactive learning and hands-on professional training.
Industry stakeholders noted that the initiative comes at a time when the insurance and financial services industries are increasingly prioritising digital skills, innovation, and continuous professional education in response to evolving market demands.
Speaking on the development, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AIICO Insurance Plc, Babatunde Fajemirokun, said the company sees investment in people as one of the most impactful contributions organisations can make to society.
“At AIICO, we have always believed that the most enduring investment any organisation can make is in people. Education, capacity development, and empowerment are the threads that run through everything we do — and they are how we choose to give back to the society that has supported our growth,” he said.
Fajemirokun added that the upgraded facility reflects the company’s recognition that learning systems and environments must evolve alongside technological and industry changes.
“The upgrade of this hall is a tangible expression of that commitment. Learning needs evolve, technology evolves, and the experiences our learners deserve must evolve with them. We are proud to play a part in shaping an environment where the next generation of insurance and financial professionals can be properly equipped to lead the industries of tomorrow,” he stated.
Beyond the immediate benefits to learners, the company said the initiative would contribute to the long-term development of Nigeria’s insurance ecosystem by helping to produce a more skilled and future-ready workforce.
AIICO further reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education, strengthen industry capacity, and contribute to sustainable economic growth through human capital development.
