2027: Dutse Monarch Tasks Citizens To Elect God-fearing Leaders

As the clamour for 2027 general election gathers momentum, the Emir of Dutse, Jigawa State, Hamim Muhammad Sanusi has appealed to politicians to play the game according to the rules to avoid plaguing the country into further crisis.

 

Besides, the monarch challenged the electorate to elect only God-fearing individuals as their leaders, arguing that the current socio economic problems facing the country requires leaders with fear of God at heart.

 

The Emir made the admonition while commissioning the ultra modern mosque constructed by the Foundation of a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the state, Farouk Adamu Aliyu in his home LGA of Birnin Kudu.

According to the monarch, Nigeria has reached a level where citizens should pray for their leaders rather than criticizing them. He insisted that the country requires divine intervention to enable her get out of the problems.

 

According to him, “The country requires a leader with the right qualities to lead her and this can only happen if all join in praying for our leaders and we as voters elect credible people who are ready to serve the people. So we all owe ourselves the responsibility of electing God-fearing leadership that would move our nation forward.”

He lauded Aliyu for embarking on the mosque project, noting that it was a. Indication that he had not forgotten to seek for the blessing and protection of Allah.

 

The immediate past governor of Katsina state, Aminu Bello Masari who echoed the emir’s sentiment described the politician as a good person and a man of conscience who believes in the unity the country.

According to Masari, a one time Speaker of the House of Representatives, ” I have known Farouk Adamu Aliyu since 2003 and since our ways crossed each other he has never disappointed me, so I’m not surprised that he has put up this beautiful edifice in the service of his creator.”

 

The State Governor Umar Namadi, who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Aminu Usman Gumel described Aliyu a Ms a kind-hearted individual who cares about the welfare of the down trodden and called on other well-to-do individuals to follow his example.

 

The occasion was attended by a galaxy of personalities both within and outside the state, notable among who were the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ( ICPC) Musa Adamu Aliyu (SAN) former Chairman Senate Committee on Downstream Sabo Muhammad Nakudu among others.
