As part of the efforts to re-energise his administration, governor Muhammad Badaru Abubukar of Jigawa has approved the appointment of 12 new Permanent Secretaries.
He has named a new Auditor- General for the Local Government Audit to fill the vacancies in the State Civil Service.
This was contained in a statement signed by the State Head of the Civil Service, Hussaini Ali Kila. The appointees were to fill the vacancies in the state civil service.
The official gave the list of the successful Directors elevated to the position of permanent secretaries as follows:
LIsah Garba Dallah, Yusuf Mukaddas, Musa Ibrahim Adaha, Adamu Saleh, Garba Ya’u, Abba Mustapha Yola, Muhammad T Yunusa, Abdu Garba Dutse, Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Aliyu, Aminu Adamu Ringim, Muhammad Iliya and Ibrahim Tijjani
Similarly, the governor has also approved the appointment of Shehu A. Kaila as new Auditor General, Local Government Audit.
The appointment of new Auditor General, Local Government Audit is however, subject to a confirmation by the Jigawa State House of Assembly.
The statement explained that the appointment of the new permanent secretaries is purely on merit, competency, personal integrity and seniority.
The statement further said all the appointments takes immediate effects.
