Badaru Appoints Tafida, Ex-CP As Security Adviser

Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state has approved the appointment of the immediate past commissioner of Police in the state, Aliyu Saleh Tafida as his Special Adviser on Security Matters.

This was contained in a statement by the Office of the Secretary of State Government, (SSG), Abdulkadir Fanini in Dutse, the state capital on Tuesday.

Tafida, a retired commissioner of police, served in the state Command from August, 2021 to September, 2022. He is an indigene of Gombe state.

Before his deployment to Jigawa state, Tafida had served as Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations (DCP-OPs) in both Zone 3 of the Nigeria Police, Yola and Plateau State Command as well as the DCP Administration and Finance, Taraba State, after which he was elevated to the substantive rank of Commissioner of Police and posted to Jigawa State Police command in August, 2021.

The statement said the appointment takes immediate effect.
