2027: Jigawa APC Elders’ Forum Purchases Nomination Forms For Namadi, President Tinubu

In compliance with their earlier commitment, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders Forum, Jigawa State chapter, has fulfilled its promise to purchase nomination forms for the state governor, Umar Namadi, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ahead of their 2027 re-election bids.

The development is coming barely 12 days after the forum endorsed the duo of Tinubu and Namadi for their purposeful leaderships which they said has been beneficial to the state in particular and the nation in general.

Speaking while presenting the form to the governor on behalf of the forum, the first civilian governor of the state, Ali Sa’adu Birnin Kudu recalled that they had promised to buy the forms for the governor and the president in appreciation of their purposeful and impactful leaderships.

“We have not only endorsed them for a second term, but to show our appreciation and commitment, we promised to buy the forms for them to seek re-election”.

“In Hausa, there is a proverb that says, ‘Yaba Kyauta Tukwaici’. So we bought these forms for them—not because they cannot buy them themselves, but as a mark of our deepest appreciation for their sacrifice in serving the state and the nation.”

“Today we have fulfilled one part of our promise, and the second part will also be fulfilled as soon as we get an audience with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

Birnin Kudu also urged the state governor to facilitate and secure an appointment with the President so they could present the cheque for the purchase of the presidential nomination form to him.

In his response, Namadi thanked the forum for their gesture, describing the donation of the forms as encouraging and as a further call to service for the state and humanity.

He promised to continue with all the programmes and policies he has been executing in the state, which have so far brought about positive transformation.

He also assured them of working towards securing an appointment with President Bola Tinubu to enable them to fulfil their promise and dream.
