CBN Dismisses As Fake Nation Newspaper Report Alleging “Emefiele Launches Fresh Plot Against President-Elect Tinubu”

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has dismissed as fake The Nation Newspaper report alleging “Emefiele launches fresh plot against President-elect Tinubu“.

The apex bank which tagged it as “fake” urged the public to disregard the report purportedly made out from figment of the imagination of the authors.

The Apex bank Source told OPTIMUM TIMES that the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele is preoccupied with managing teething monetary policy issues which constitute the core mandate of the bank than to care for frivolities contained in the story.

The said report had insinuated that the Governor is “determined to influence the outcome of the March 18  governorship election in Lagos State against the  ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).”

Further, the report alleged that that the apex bank has released N500 million in new bank notes to shore up the campaign of the Labour Party (LP) in the state.

The CBN reliable source however, said the story was fabricated to pitch the President-elect against the apex bank Governor and distract him from his onerous responsibilities
