Buhari Aborts Planned London Medical Trip

President Muhammadu Buhari has aborted his earlier scheduled “medical follow-up” trip to London.

He had announced yesterday of the proposed London trip today, June 25, 2021 for the routine follow-up medical checkups.

A terse statement by his Presidential Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, did not disclose what informed the postponement.

However, Adesina said a new date would be announced soon for the trip.

The terse statement reads: “The medical follow-up visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the United Kingdom earlier scheduled for today, Friday, June 25, 2021, has been postponed.”

Criticisms had trailed the proposed trip just after about three months he returned from London on what was said to be private visit.
