President Buhari Suspends Obono-Obla
Mr Okoi Obono-Obla
The Chairman of the Special Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property, Mr Okoi Obono-Obla, has been suspended.
His suspension was on order of President Muhammadu Buhari, according to the Presidency official Twitter handle.
According to the tweet, the suspension is to be in effect until the conclusion of ongoing investigations by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).

@MBuhari has directed the suspension from office, with immediate effect, of the Chairman of the Special Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property, Mr Okoi Obono-Obla.
The suspension shall be in effect until the conclusion of ongoing @ICPC_PEinvestigations into a number of cases relating to Mr. Obono-Obla, the Presidency tweeted.
There are series of allegations including certificate forgery among others against Obono-Obla.
